The Moment I Finally Felt Like a Real Engineer
It wasn't when I got my first job offer.
It wasn't when I pushed my first feature to production.
𝗜𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗮 𝗷𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗱𝗲𝘃 𝗮𝘀𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝗺𝗲 𝗮 𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻...
...and I had absolutely no idea what the answer was.
But instead of panicking, I said:
"Let me look into that and get back to you."
And I did.
Calmly. Confidently.
That's when it hit me —
Being a senior engineer isn't about knowing everything.
It's about knowing how to find anything.
The imposter syndrome never fully disappears.
But at some point, you stop letting it drive.
